Last week I turned Shot 1 into spline, this week shot 2, 3, 4 and 5 are on the list. If I'm fast enough and able to bring them into the same stage I can start with the polishing next week :).

Second Blocking Pass. I'm still not 100% happy with Shot 4 so I still have to work a bit on it. Overall the blocking is quite solid (hope so ;)) and I can move on to the next step. The snow is done with particle, emitted from a nubs surface and a turbulence field on it ... and again some faces.

This time I really try to focus on the acting, trying to go really deep into the character, I'm going to change most of the colors so they'll match more to the personalty. Thanks again to Goro for his help!

Final version ... it done 🙂 He got some hair, pimped clothing, some texture and a barb. This week I tried to focus on the eyes because to me they are the weakest point of the shot. And like last week we had to create some facial expressions again.

This is pretty close to the final version because there is just one week left. About Sean I have to say that he is a great mentor so far, his E-Critique was about 15 min. The second assignment was about creating some expression with Bishop based on some reference pictures.

A new AM class hast started, some new but mostly familiar faces in my class AND ... my new mentor is ... drum roll ... Sean Ermey so let's see how good he is ;). This week we got the full Bishop rig with all the facial stuff in it and it's great. I'm starting to work with the GUI because the have some rely nice posing presets. SO here is my fisrt Facial pass ... still a lot to do but ...

Another term draws to a close and this is my last assignment for this class. In class 4 we will get the full bishop with some more options than just open and close mouth and eyes. So this is my final body mechanics version :).

To make the shot more interesting I added two trees to have something to interact with. I like the kind of second level ... while he's talking about a tree he leans against one. Besides this I pushed the poses and added some more breakdowns.

WOW ... it's been a while since I animated my last dialog shot ;). After searching the web for almost four days to find a nice piece of dialog I finally found three nice audio clips (I recommend moviewavs.com). The next step was the thoughtful planing of the shot which means sketching and video reference. After getting my e-critique I did the first blocking pass.
