That’s what I have worked on in 2011. After finishing the movie that will be aired tomorrow. (Dec. 25th, 06.30pm, and then again Dec. 26th, 09.35 am on BBC1) I worked on the this years BBC gruffalo-themed christmas ident. I was responsible for the animatic, layout, voice selection and of course the animation.

Yesterday The External World won the Grand Prix at the “18. Internationales Trickfilm-Festival Stuttgart”. Unfortunately David couldn’t be there so I had the honor to accept the award Thanks to the jury and the whole ITFS 2011 crew who did an amazing job.

Finally it’s online. Last year I worked on David O’Reilly’s latest Film. World Premiere was at the 67th Venice Film Festival. It was a blast working on it and I guess I’ll never again animate such crazy things. Lean back get some popcorn and enjoy something unexpected.

Because the last few weeks were quite busy I had no time to update the site … fortunately the situation changed. I’m working on the Gruffalo’s Child at Studio Soi for the next six or seven month. So far it’s a lot of fun and we have a great team … Some old faces some new and definitely a lot of talented.

AnimationMentor Newsletter Feature “The Gruffalo”
Max, Alli, Maciej and me got interviewed for the AnimationMentor Newsletter December. It’s a nice summery about the time we worked on the Gruffalo which was just awesome … Again … thanks for the great time. Hopefully we’ll work together again on other great projects.

It was a successful Biennial of Animation Bratislava for Studio Soi. The CIFEJ Award has been given to the the Gruffalo. The Little Boy and the Beast won the UNICEF Award.
