Back from the 67th Venice Film Festival , where the latest Movie I worked on "The External World" was selected in the "Orizzonti" category. I worked for two month on this project and had a GREAT time with some crazy geniuses 🙂 Thanks to David, Max, Jim, Bram and Henning for everything.

I still can't believe it but 'The Gruffalo' has won the Award for best TV special at Annecy 2010. And Studio Soi's second Short 'Der Kleine und das Biest - The Little Boy and the Beast' got the Cristal for best TV production ... 2010 if definitely a good year for Soi.

Last Wednesday Jakob (one of the Gruffalo Directors) took me to the PRIX JEUNESSE ceremony which was a lot of fun especially because Studio Soi was quite successful. “The Little Boy and the Beast†was awarded in the category “Up to 6, Fictionâ€, “The “Gruffalo†won both the Prix Jeunesse in the category “7 – 11 Fiction†and the “Prix Jeunesse of the Children’s Juryâ€.

17th Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film
Last Sunday the Gruffalo won the first prize at the 17th Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) in the category 'Tricks for Kids'. Congrats to everyone who worked on it. Let's hope for more 🙂

Film Awards Nominations
A few days ago the BAFTA nominations where announced and I'm really happy that the The Gruffalo is nominated for the Orange British Academy Film Awards in 2010 in the category SHORT ANIMATION. Let's hope for the best 🙂

Yeah that's right, I won one of the AnimationMentor Student Choice Awards and I'm really exited about it. I was nominated in the category 'Best Silent Acting', 'Most Encouraging/Supportive Student' and 'The Walk Cycle with the Most Personality' and I got the one for 'The Walk Cycle with the Most Personality'. Thanks to everyone who voted for me 🙂
