A new week a new assignment 
. After a nice tip from Sue (AM Student) I listened a whole day to the American Life Radio, a public radio Station. There I found the the first Clip ‘The Lie’ which I’m going to use for my next animation. The other Clips are from Little Mis Sunshine, which is on of my favorite live action movies .

Yesterday a big packet full of DVDs and CDs arrived. It was the whole Shorts Drawer Compilation (2004 -2007) with a bunch of amazing shorts. Luckily WANTED was selected to be on the 2006 DVD. But not only the DVD collection was part of the packet, we got the complete 3d Total Texture Collection including 15 GB of textures . Thanks to Lynette and 3dtoatal.com

Final version … it done He got some hair, pimped clothing, some texture and a barb. This week I tried to focus on the eyes because to me they are the weakest point of the shot. And like last week we had to create some facial expressions again.

When I was in London I bought a new sculpture tool. The day before yesterday I found some time to finish a project I have started a while ago and I can tell you ears are soooo freaking hard to create … especially if you want them to look the same 
. I had to redo the second ear about 5 times 
. But finally I’m pretty happy with the result.

This is pretty close to the final version because there is just one week left. About Sean I have to say that he is a great mentor so far, his E-Critique was about 15 min. The second assignment was about creating some expression with Bishop based on some reference pictures.

A new AM class hast started, some new but mostly familiar faces in my class AND … my new mentor is … drum roll … Sean Ermey so let’s see how good he is . This week we got the full Bishop rig with all the facial stuff in it and it’s great. I’m starting to work with the GUI because the have some rely nice posing presets. SO here is my fisrt Facial pass … still a lot to do but …

Yeah … back from the AM London Gathering 2007. BIG thanks to Kris Staber who organized all the Studio tours and everyone else who has been there … it was a blast with you guys. I hope to see you all again next time . And now some pictures … enjoy!!!
