Short Film
It’s been a while since I posted some stuff of my AM graduation short. Thanks to Huppi, Tobyx and a bunch of other guys my film is almost done. I’m rendering the last scenes and the compositing is at 50% therefore I’m going to give you a sneak peek of how it will look like. Enjoy

DONE … I have submitted my last assignment at AnimtionMentor. The animation is done, and now it’s time to make it pretty and render it. Fortunately a few friends are supporting me. The new member in the team is Manuel Macha who will do the rendering.
At this point I want to thank all my mentors and everyone who supported me. I had a great time at AM and learned sooo much. If you want to become an animator, AM is a good place to start you journey.
The new deadline is August 1st for finishing the whole short. Let’s see if we’ll make it

Time for an update. Christian Seim the composer started his work 2 weeks ago and the music and sound FX are already playing quite well. To me he is doing a great job . Tomorrow week 9 will start this means only three weeks left and still soooo much to do.

A bit more than the second third is done. This week I try to finish the las third and starting with the blocking+. Besides this Paul nearly finished the ride-on machine.

And my new mentor is … Greg Whittaker … right now he works on ‘Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa’. So far I only heard good thinks about him so I’m really exited

Sorry for the leg of posts but I’m really busy with the film and other stuff like planning my trip to the AM Graduation, Siggraph, FMX … This is the final version of the Layout I’m still searching for music but fortunately I found someone who will help me on that. All the Cycles are mostly done only a few tweaks here and there. Today I start setting up the main scene which will be the base for all the other scenes. That’s all for now hope to have more for you soon

I was pretty busy the last weeks working on my short film. Yesterday I finished version 2 of the layout. Both characters got some extra rigging layer to make them more flexible. The Dad is final but I still struggle with the son’s hair in terms of design.

Second story pitch . The premise and the message are now locked. I went out for doing some research and I was really surprised that I found three ride-on machines out of four supermarkets … thought it would be a lot harder to find them.

New term, new mentor and I’m so exited to have Chris Derochie, who is a writer as well. Class 5 is about story and the lectures were great so far. This week I had to do a video pitch … I know I know … animators in front of a cam … they don’t like it 
, but I decided to share it because Chris told me it was a good pitch . Get some popcorn and enjoy .
